BR1-04: Pocahontas

"You are my Englishman now. Come!" (p.14)

Pocahontas is daughter of the King Powhatan. Three ships left England and sailed to America. They purpose is reclaim land and make a new colony. The Englishman were happy. Indians were not able to stop it, because the Englishman has a gan. So, Indians were not happy. On the other hand the Englishman were not able to completely rule, because they were not able to live if they didn't get food from Indians. One day John smith who is a Englishman was caught, but he is friendly. So, King let Pocahontas watch him. She fall in love, but John Smith is a white man. It was unrequited love. After that she married other man. Then she was made to hear that he died. But he is alive...
Pocahontas is an actual person. I didn't know it. This story is sad a little. I want to watch Pocahontas's movie. If you are interested in this book, please read it!
